In 1964 – more than 50 years ago my father M.Y. Gilardy founded our gemstone manufacture and distribution in Idar-Oberstein. It exists until this day, and delivers the most exceptional and most beautiful jewels that our earth hast to offer – natural gemstones in all their glory. For millennia they have fascinated and placed a spell on people. In our jewelry manufactures in Idar-Oberstein and Munich we fashion the gemstones, which have been cut in-house, into our exceptional GILARDY design creations.

David Gilardy & team

Owner David Gilardy was born in Idar-Oberstein, the German gemstone town in Rhineland-Palatinate. In his father's business, the gemstone cutting and wholesale company M.Y. Gilardy, which has been in existence since 1964, he learned all the ins and outs of the gemstone and jewelry industry at an early age. After many years of experience with renowned companies such as Bulgari, Christ and Hermès, as well as numerous training courses in the field of jewelry, gemstones, and diamonds, he designed his first jewelry collection in 2006 and founded GILARDY Jewels in Munich. In 2009, he opened the first GILARDY store in Munich-Bogenhausen, which moved to the old town in 2023, to Pfisterstraße 6 / near Platzl (close to the famous Hofbräuhaus). In 2012, the second store followed on the beautiful Wiener Platz in Munich-Haidhausen.
